We have proven processes derived from industry recognized standards like Six-Sigma
and Rational Unified Process, Prince-2 and (PMI)
Project Management Institute's Body of Knowledge and our experience for defining,
managing requirements, managing requirement changes, managing development, delivery
and so on.
Scope Management
We ensure that the project includes all and only the work required for completing
the project successfully. Scope here will imply both product and project. Project
work and the product feature creep will be curtailed and managed to ensure successful
completion of the commitment.
Schedule & Time Management
The project will be decomposed into activities/tasks, summary tasks, etc forming
the basic Work Break Structure (WBS) of the project. Each task/activity will have
following attributes:
- Resource
- Duration
- Effort needed
- Complexity
- Re-usability
- Sequence specified
The integrated view of the timeline will constitute the overall schedule for the
project. The project schedule will be presented in a bar chart/Gantt chart form.
Cost Management
Our cost management function begins with a proper Effort Estimation, Cost Budgeting
and Resource Planning. Once estimated and budgeted proper controls will be in place
to measure and address cost changes and ultimately to bring the project to a completion
within budget and on time.
Quality Management
We implement the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) that addresses the quality assurance
needs at every phase of the development cycle. Our QA team has developed a focused
quality control checklist. WhiteHedge has taken initiatives to achieve Six-Sigma
and SEI-CMM certifications.
Human Resource Management
We hire highly qualified, skilled employees who are then trained in the areas that
are pertinent to our business needs. WhiteHedge team is characterized by a uniquely
strong combination of knowledge and experience The team members have vast global
experience and proven track records with multi-national global 500 companies. Project
leaders who are responsible and accountable for executing the project on schedule
and within budget lead these trained professionals. The project leaders directly
report to one of the Executive Managers, who have the ultimate authority and responsibility
in making sure that each project is executed with precision, profit, and total customer
satisfaction.
Communications Management
Processes and steps required ensuring timely and appropriate generation, collection,
dissemination, storage, and ultimate disposition of project information is included
in this area. Determining the information and communication needs of all the stakeholders
will be planned. The information is collected by-
- Customer research Plan
- Voice of Customer
- Interviews
- Focus Groups
- Surveys
- Observations
Information is disseminated via regularly scheduled status meetings, progress reports,
and other mechanisms. We will also tailor the communications process to meet our
individual customer needs.
Risk Management
Risk management includes identifying, analyzing, and preparing to respond to project
risks. One of the goals of this activity is to maximize the results of positive
events and minimize the consequences of the adverse events. At the earliest possible
moment in the project an effort will be made to identify various risks that are
likely to affect the project, and document the characteristics of those risks. Then
risks and risk interactions will be evaluated to assess possible range of outcomes.
Based on these findings a risk response scheme will be defined. The risk response
control will ensure that appropriate risk management actions over the course of
the project.
WhiteHedge performs all CTQ (Critical To Quality)
failure modes and the impact analysis extensively.
Procurement Management
This area is focused on the processes required to acquire goods and services from
outside. Planning, solicitation, source selection, and contract administration with
the vendor will be covered.
